Situated along the N2 highway in the region of the southern South African coast of the Western and Eastern Cape provinces.
“TSITSIKAMMA” is a Koi or Nama word meaning “place of abundant water”. The Tsitsikamma is the last remaining area of indigenous forest in the Southern Cape and is home to a wealth of indigenous plants and animals.
The Village is 35 km from Plettenberg Bay in the west and 80 km from Kareedouw Pass in the east.
Our climate is extremely mild, with temperature variations only between 10°C and 25°C generally and rainfall exceeding 1000mm per annum, thus the region supports verdant fynbos. The Tsitsikamma National Park (Storms River Mouth) lies 10 km to the south of the Lodge on the Indian Ocean.
The Bloukrans Bridge (15 km) forms the boundary between the Eastern and Western Cape provinces, and sports the highest bungy jump in the world. This is also where the world famous Otter Trail begins. See our list of activities for more to do in the area.
