The old English word for farmer was Ploughman. When Malcolm & Peggy Saunders, Karoo Farmers, retired it seemed appropriate to name the establishment
“The Ploughman’s Rest”.

This B&B was built in 1995 and grew through the years as a well known establishment in Storms River Village.

Storms River Village is situated on the Garden Route between Plettenberg Bay and Jeffrey’s Bay in a beautiful pristine area called the “Tsitsikamma”.
This unique little village is surrounded by indigenous forest and “fynbos”
where wildlife & birds abound.

Ploughman’s Rest Self-Catering units offer you a comfortable home base to stay, from where you can explore the entire region.

Unwind in glorious surroundings with exquisite mountain views, tranquility and privacy in the garden, spacious balcony overlooking the mountain

These Self-Catering Units are set in a lovely 2 acre garden adjacent to the B&B and are surrounded by the scenic green belt of the Tsitsikamma.
Stroll through the evergreen gardens following the flowing stream or relax in the sun and be enchanted by abundant birdlife.

Our fully furnished Self-Catering units contain everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable break with your family or friends.
In order to keep this peaceful atmosphere we do not have TV’s in these Units.
