Vilanculos Beach Lodge is a small, exclusive and private lodge situated on mainland Mozambique, 5km from Vilanculos Village. It lies ±780 km north of Maputo, directly opposite the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago in the tropical Inhambane province. Chalets are individually built on ironwood stilts with raised mahogany decks, ensuring you of your own oasis of tranquility. The area is lush with dense shrubbery, and has a spectacular view of the Bazaruto Archipelago, Which offers some of the best game fishing in the world. The resort sleeps a mere 35 guests thus ensuring a romantic and secluded getaway. The lodges have a breath-taking sea view owing to their being built on stilts. Vilanculos Beach Lodge is situated just 8km from the airport on the tarred road, the lodge arranges transfers to and from the airport.

Fly

Vilanculos hosts an international airport with flights departing to/from Maputo and Johannesburg on a daily basis. There are also flights from KMIA (Nelspruit) to Vilanculos twice weekly

Drive

The roads to Vilanculos are acceptable and tarred, but look out for potholes on route, a 4×4 is not a necessity. We do not suggest travelling at night in Mozambique. Fuel is readily available, but it is suggested to fill up when possible. Unleaded fuel is available in Vilanculos.
