Katavi Wilderness Camp (Fox’s Camp) Situated on the edge of the huge Katasunga Plains, very close to the park’s main airstrip, Katavi Wilderness Camp has been open for 3-4 years. It’s owned and run by the same team as Ruaha River Lodge, and currently has just three large walk-in tents, built on low wooden platforms, with en-suite facilities and large, shady verandas.

The exclusive Katavi Wilderness Camp is located in the best game area of Tanzania’s Katavi National Park and allows guests to watch and follow the daily movements of game between their food and water sources.  The tents are nestled cunningly amongst the trees that line the floodplain where the wild life is unaware of your presence, allowing for a perfect game viewing experience.Professional guides play host to visiting guests, accompanying them on game drives and walks into the Katavi National Park. Special 4×4 vehicles are used on game drives, with two way radio and tiered seats for visibility.Katavi Wilderness Camp is seasonal and will only be operational during the dry season from April until December.
